Trouble In A Ceasefire, By: Andrew Cyr

December 8, 2023 by Andrew Cyr

Trouble In A Ceasefire, By: Justin Cyr

I sense trouble emanating among
insincere calls for a ceasefire.
I came across a post
about the Palestinian war,
labeling it a genocide.
Indeed, an ethnic cleansing
of those sheltering
in an apartheid state,
hungry for nationhood,
starved of identity,
but suffer as mere pawns
in their own salvation.
The passion among pious
actors lacked substance.
We forgot the victims of the 7th
for atrocities committed,
for blood, for war, and more
and more blood spilled in the streets;
The machine feeds on blood.
I motion for caution.
But the dashboard lights
flash red and orange.
We all know what that means.
Trouble.
