Something Will Happen, By: Andrew Cyr

April 10, 2024 by Andrew Cyr

Something Will Happen, By: Andrew Cyr

When I drank and drove,
something happened.
It always did.
I left fate’s decision in my hands.
I gave up drinking when I found Jesus.
But beautiful women became my vice.
Only I had no say.
Something will happen.
It always does.
With the bottle, I could just put it away.
I could chalk up my flaws to an empty
bottle of booze in the back seat.
I met a woman who gave up drinking,
and she asked me over.
And something will happen.
It always does.
