The Great Fulcrum, By: Nathan Mallon

November 25, 2024 by Nathan Mallon

The Great Fulcrum, By: Nathan Mallon

A shot of dauntlessness has immunised
The great fulcrum of the entire mass
This wondrous shift has now immortalised
What was once as feeble and frail as glass

It imbibes pure pathos and pursues it
And meets it and stalks it and ends it
Each pit of ventricle and atrium
Emptied of every dire curse and phantom

Over time, reveries of renewed fortitude
Embrace the walls of each soft burrow
Breathed into the great halls of gratitude
Dancing and laughing, frenziedly aglow

From here, it journeys steadfast in secret
Diverges and arrives, never to depart
Places that permit me to interpret
This gift of all gifts, from the very start
Dwelled, reposed, in the parts of the heart
