Better Left Unsaid In My Opinion, By: Phillip Jordan

Better Left Unsaid In My Opinion, By: Phillip Jordan

Hairpin skewed another moment spurned, didn’t the songs I send help, that jukebox is naïve. I thought I was of a strong sound mind and REM would make it all ok, I guess I didn’t learn, I s’pose I needn’t bother

While my belfry rang hollow thumping like a drum I was twiddling thumbs still stuck on Question 1 subtracting L from life adding W = wife (my woman for life) that’s all I knew

So my scenes were set, the mad man laughing and birds were in it and you like an infinite star were radiating on stage, thunder and lightning tomorrows blight, something else though it exited stage left

A new broom that swept cleaner, it wore out. You knew I was there self esteem blown off course like a ship wrecked I could not set sail into the sunset. You didn’t want to chat about it then

Your mother a soldier I’m grateful for, I assume all the info was there. Theorised arguments annulled, I don’t want to converse about it now like Mohenjo-daro consigned to history

Adoration and devotion salvaged and reclaimed though like an itch I need to scratch can’t be too rash you are the soothing cream, a sudden occurrence, I’m undeterred. Is us what you really wanted?
