Till Death Us Do Part, By: Helen O Hare

Till Death Us Do Part, By: Helen O Hare

It’s all a lie dressed up as a dream
To be a part of an enduring team
Till death us do part
I will Give you my heart
The nightmare unfolds
The cracks start to show
My heart it was given but now also my soul
The confidence wanes
Your life shatters and you pick up the pieces of what remains
The world is now small and tightens each day
As you choke and drown in the marriage decay
Unsteady, unsure should I stay? I don’t know
Shame in the failure, left out in the cold
The burden then lifts when you let someone see
A chink of your life, your prison, not free
No longer Alone the fire burns brighter within
And together with friends the fight back begins
Once again in life alone but not lonely
Content in the warmth and support of my family
New hopes, new dreams, small steps but assured
The memories are fading of what was endured
