About Cyn Jones
Cyn Jones is a queer and non-binary poet who has been writing poems for thirty years but only speaking them out loud for about a decade. It is not hyperbolic to say poetry has kept them alive. They are continually writing themselves home and towards the future they want to live in. Cyn began performing in 2013 at spoken word showcases and local poetry slam competitions in Philadelphia. In 2018, Cyn was part of a team representing philadelphia at the National Poetry Slam. In 2022, Cyn competed in the Women of the World poetry slam. Cyn has been featured in Loving & Lasting, a Game Over Books anthology honoring the grassroots poetry org FEMS. Cyn is currently working on their debut poetry collection! When they aren’t writing or performing, they can be found frolicking in nature, staring at clouds, eating copious amounts of snacks, or coloring their hair.
