Change, By: Erin Jamieson

November 15, 2023 by Erin Jamieson

Change, By: Erin Jamieson

I bathe in ashy sunset
light sinking into
my pores just
to feel warm
again

But you close the blinds
and that familiar chill
nestles inside my chest
and already I’m forgetting
the crimson glow
or the budding hope
that things
might
change
