Deconstructed Opinion, By: Andrew Cyr

January 23, 2024 by Andrew Cyr

Deconstructed Opinion, By: Andrew Cyr

I take pride in the opinion
that I hold hostage
as Logan’s heart murders
the aspiration I have
for seeking to sleep
with women unknown
to me in a bed
that I can already
picture as perfect
in a perfect picture.
But here I am.
And there she is.
Dressed in white
as a victimless crime
of collapsing the wall
that kept us worlds apart.
Naked beyond Adam and Eve
because we both know
right from wrong.
I’ve got nothing left to hide.
Our lives intertwine.
As Logan overlooked
my fragile security
and in return,
I embraced her fragility.
Love destroyed the opinion
that no one deserves it.
