Halcyon Daze, By: Brianna Brown

September 18, 2024 by Brianna Brown

Halcyon Daze, By: Brianna Brown

How can I capture the sunlight just behind the trees,
water droplets drying on my skin,
the feeling of my fingers in the sand
or your fingertips running up my leg?

I think the answer is simple: I can’t.
So, here I’ll sit, writing poems in my head,
With the knowledge that we’ll never be here again.
