Poem Moderna, By: Al Scarr

June 24, 2024 by Al Scarr

Poem Moderna, By: Al Scarr

A mindless drone, unsettling easiness.
You listen to your breath.
You feel the world as it turns.
You stand corrected, you fall in love.
Pushed down raised up! Only to be knocked off your feet. You walk away, you stand your ground. Life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Only to choke on the bitter sweet concoction. The sour taste of defeat, the sweet taste of revenge. Another notch in your belt, a heavy cross to bare. Your dieing breath, a sweet release. Only to awake to the humdrum tedium. Of a pointless existence, chained to a social media dictated life of a human.
