Potato Digger, By: Mary Bone

August 8, 2024 by Mary Bone

Potato Digger, By: Mary Bone

Harsh climate
digging potatoes
scraped knuckles
dirt in my shoes,
a baby Copperhead rolled out
of a hole i had dug.
I’m so glad he didn’t bite me.
More spuds for supper.
