Sweetest Of Venoms, By: Teagan Wiltshire

August 5, 2024 by Teagan Wiltshire

Sweetest Of Venoms, By: Teagan Wiltshire

Tread carefully, my acquaintance,
Be cautious, be tentative, now-
She appears to be sugar-sweet,
Gentle, quite gracious, not so loud-

But heed my warning, listen here-
Her kindly manner’s but a ruse.
You may see her as a good friend
But to her, you’re someone to use.

A puppet, bound by strangling strings
That choke you, hold you, make you act
Unlike yourself- and, in the end
You’ll see you’re doomed to get attached.

So take my advice, acquaintance
And keep your distance, stay away
Lest her sweet venom poison you-
Now go, before it gets too late.
