The Tweeting Duck, By: Jordan Eze

March 5, 2024 by Jordan Eze

The Tweeting Duck, By: Jordan Eze

I am an ugly duck. Unloved by many.
I tweet and sing as the sun rises promptly.

I step to the distant puddle. Quacks are all i hear. In my presence they jeer. That is what i fear.

I head on to my lonely cliff. Here we go again!
The splash was little. Now I am in pain.

“I wonder what my wings are for?”

My Insolence has led to Mama Duck’s suffering.
She has flown ahead without hearing me quacking.

Guilt and grief came with time. Mama Duck!

I regret my failure to steal your tongue
