From Rudy to Rocky
To Cinderella Man
Hoosiers, Kurt Warner
We all were a fan
Witness the upset
It’s so very nice
A country rejoiced
The Miracle on Ice
Everything he had
All he could muster
We’ll never forget
A boxer named Buster
The joy of victory
When teammates will hug
1994 in Atlanta
A gymnast named Strug
Moments locked in memory
Frozen in time
Unknowns no more
Autographs now signed
Harvard debate team
Took a huge loss
Versus New York inmates
That showed them who’s boss
A QB named Joe
With a bold guarantee
One finger raised
Beaming with glee
When David slays Goliath
We all stand and cheer
We relate to the underdog
Because we’ve all been there
