Under The Bridge, By: Kit Terrell

October 26, 2023 by Kit Terrell

Under The Bridge, By: Kit Terrell

I am a dry man in a dry hole.
And yet I wander.
A man soaked takes long to dry.
My heart still lingers.

I am a lonely man, never alone.
Except under the bridge.
I am the chill in the wind, in the sand.
The blood in my bones is cold.

I am dry in my heart.
Once you know you can never go back.
I can’t let my head be free.
Your nerves can’t take it.

Let the rain come down.
I can’t get you out of my head.
I wonder if you’re still there.
You, under the bridge.
