Secrets Of The Streetlight Seer, By: Donna Faulkner née Miller

April 12, 2024 by Donna Faulkner née Miller

Secrets Of The Streetlight Seer, By: Donna Faulkner née Miller

Frazzled from his flight
streetlight seer
perching his post
Below, awkward shapes collude,
fumble around a storking foot.
Slapdash shadows
cast askew.

In collusion,
almost lovers
in feathered silhouette.
Sooty mascara washed away.
A puffed out chest.
Streetlight seer
preening his post.

Caught in the gutter,
rouged – red
cigarette butts.
Fleeting vestiages,
a couple’s last leavings.
Feathers bedraggled.
Streetlight seer
alights his post.
