Hidden Gifts, By: Teri Dourmashkin

December 2, 2024 by Teri Dourmashkin

Hidden Gifts, By: Teri Dourmashkin

Let the fiercest storms that drowned my soul,
Break the barriers of defenses my ancestors stole.
Let the volcanoes that tore my insides apart,
Wash away the shame, my tattered heart.
Let the mountains crumble and fall onto me.
Let them shred me to pieces, to victory.
Let me stand buck naked, vulnerabilities bare.
Let me fall into the ravages of the red sea.
Let the cruelty be gifts that finally heal me.
Let the veil be lifted, let me finally see.
