Filled, By: Erin Jamieson

April 22, 2024 by Erin Jamieson

Filled, By: Erin Jamieson

crimson petals on sidewalks
where we allowed weeds to flourish
in sunlight we hid ourselves from

you planted those roses last year
kissing my cheek as I asked
how many more months
we’d wait to see something
bloom

now I lie down amongst the fallen
roses- clipped at their fullest
perfume fills my lungs as you
once filled me
