Ghost, By: Acacia D.

April 2, 2024 by Acacia D.

Ghost, By: Acacia D.

The ghost of me
tiptoes
past the ghost of you
once tied together
tight and strong

instead, we share space
and nothing else
our minds do not meet
in the place they once did

haunting darkness

dreams I don’t remember

bodies cold
longing, desperate
holding tight to memories
unable to connect
the rope, severed

my ghost floats
whispers, silenced
each day I disappear further
and I can’t tell
what comes next
