If We Could Only Rise Above It All, By: Neal Grace

November 3, 2026 by Neal Grace

The World Exposed, By: Neal Grace

If we could only rise above it all
without any residue of dark memories
whose talons pierce our hearts,
and whose imprints have cast its
iron masks upon the innocence
of our childhood self—
so that we breathe the freshness and
vitality of a new day as if sitting
in a shrine of joy and beauty.
Where freedom lifts us higher
into the ethers of our dreams,
where we hear hymns of
melodic whispers urging
us onward on a destiny
of discovery and mystery.
Where life no longer feels
as if we are being dragged
through a quagmire of burdens.
If we could only rise above it all
we could meet each other
as children possessing wisdom
and understanding what it truly means
to live in peace and to love each other!
