The Bond, By: Helen O Hare

April 7, 2026 by Helen O Hare

The Bond, By: Helen O Hare

A sign, a feeling, a sense
It’s known deep down inside
Before it then manifests
The subtle hints start to show
While inside a miracle unfolds
As it starts to grow
And as it draws closer to the day
The bond already cemented
Nothing can break it
Nothing can stand in its way
Then in the midst of pain
When her body feels broken
A strength comes to carry her along
To the ultimate moment
A new life before us
Innocent and new
A tiny body bloodied and wrinkled
From its mothers womb
In that moment
The greatness is hers
The power and pain
So that life can endure
In a sterile world with glaring light
And busy attendant
A babies cry embraces all In humanity
And a love unrepentant
