Doom Is The House Without The Door, By: Emily Dickinson

October 11, 2026 by Editors

pc

Doom is the House Without the Door—

And then the ladder’s thrown away
Because escape is done.

‘T is varied by the dream
Of what they do outside,
When squirrels play and berries die—
And hundreds bow to God.
