Dear Turnkey, By: Lucien Lacrete

June 19, 2024 by Lucien Lacrete

Dear Turnkey, By: Lucien Lacrete

Incarceration, the equivalent to
Zero acceleration, stagnation
Standing still, whether mental or
Physical, prison is sinful.
When you find your self-destructive ways
Have left you with nothing but dark and
Gloomy days. Look at yourself, take a real
Hard look at yourself. You’re right, it’s me
No one else. Don’t put me behind bars and
Electrified fences. Find better solutions
For minor offenses.
Dear Turnkey, I hope after you’ve read this open letter
It moves you to act on making communities better.
Alternate sentencing, job training that leads to employment.
Think about it. After all the men and women are sent to
Prison. What happens to the children?
