My Problems Are Over, By: DS Maolalai

1037 euros – a rebate
from a tax form
submitted 3
years ago. and I thought
it was a scam
when I first got the letter.
it’s not though. they transferred it
on thursday – my problems are over
for the next couple
of weeks. sure,
it’s a lot of money,
but it’s still less
than the rent is.
not like I was going
to retire or travel
to africa all expenses
paid. just treated
a dinner and bought
the good coffee beans. covered a taxi
when we went into town.
I could buy a bad second
hand car if I needed one.
could go to the dentist.
could pay off some fines.
what is money anyway – 1037
euros. I open the bank
website sometimes
to check it’s still there.
