Stack Up, By: Hiram Larew

December 22, 2023 by Hiram Larew

Stack Up, By: Hiram Larew

My isn’t it
     your perhaps so
     that’s taking me over —
You seem to be my crazy about
     being flipped up
     and being a kid again

My isn’t it
     so much as
     how you are with me
In any kitchen that wanders
     through my evers so silly
Oh how I hope so

How do you do that
up down and all around me
With an apron of chuckling
     and tastings and go
Syrup and all

So yes stack up my pancakes —
     with every right now and
     butter and so forth
into my this is joy and kidding
Because really your front teeth
     with love’s happy gapping
are all that I need now —
     so rooty and tooty
